Our Mission
Our mission is to support charitable and educational efforts related to basic human needs, through contributions and volunteerism, for the betterment of the communities South Carolina Federal Credit Union serves.
Focus Areas
Feed our communities and reduce food insecurity
Make sure every child receives the best possible medical care
Prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies
End Alzheimer's and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support
Enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens
Application
Eligibility and Restrictions
Must be a nonprofit organization based and serving in one of the following counties in South Carolina: Charleston, Berkeley, Dorchester, Georgetown, Horry, Florence, Lexington, Richland, Greenville, or Spartanburg
Must support one of the focus areas in the communities noted above
Request must not exceed $5,000
Mini-Grants are not awarded to individuals
Five mini-grants will be awarded in 2026. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2026. Grants will be awarded by April 30, 2026.

Grant applications will undergo a multi‑stage evaluation process that assesses eligibility, project merit, and budget feasibility. Decisions are based on alignment with the Foundation’s focus areas and the applicant’s capacity to execute the proposed work. All final decisions are made by the Foundation’s Board of Directors.
